Cringeworthy moment Minneapolis lawmaker struggles to speak ENGLISH in city council meeting... before getting word completely wrong

[DM] A Somali-born Minneapolis lawmaker suffered an awkward verbal stumble while discussing plans to regulate driverless cars - repeatedly struggling with the word 'autonomous' before abandoning it altogether and calling the vehicles 'anonymous.'

Minneapolis City Council Vice President Jamal Osman was speaking about a proposed crackdown on commercial self-driving vehicles when he became tangled up trying to pronounce the technology he wants the city to regulate.

'Ordinance related to au-ton-o-mous...' Osman said, slowly attempting to pronounce the word correctly before then trying again.

'Anonymous... self-driving vehicles,' he continued.

The brief flub was seized upon by the conservative Libs of TikTok account, which posted footage of the moment on X and mocked the councilman over the mistake.

Truck drivers are required to have better language skills. # id) ?>

1 I speak American as my first and only language and I run into times where I mangle a word. Supposedly English is one of the harder languages to learn, so I'm not going to care about someone having problems with autonomous and anonymous during public speaking.

The missing point here then, is he didn't write what he was reading. He's just the....face...of who is directing policy.

Why Ilhan Omar can’t be kicked out of the US for marrying brother: Immigration officials

BLUF: 1) There’s a five year statute of limitations on marriage fraud, so it’s too late to use it, but it’s moot since they divorced and he left the country. Regardless, the American citizen cannot be stripped of citizenship or expelled for committing said fraud, only the foreigner who entered the country via marriage.

2) There are other problems, like whether she was older than 17 when her father got citizenship, including her as a minor child on the application, but the claimed until recently — albeit undocumented — birthdate doesn’t match the age claim. Also, her father applied with the claim that he was a teacher, when really he was a colonel in the Somali army and committed war crimes, thus including her in applying under false pretenses.

Though even if nothing comes of it, the process is the punishment, and the voters may even decide they want a less controversial representative.
