Portugal bans burqas/niqabs in public, with fines up to €4,000

Portugal is banning burqas and niqabs in public places, with fines up to 4,000 euros.

Muslim men who force their wives or female relatives to wear one will also face 3 years in prison.

Excellent! I love the penalties for men who force women to wear it. That is where the punishment needs to be.

Countries that ban or restrict the hijab and/or face coverings:
France
Belgium
Austria
Denmark
Netherlands
Bulgaria
Switzerland
Portugal
Tajikistan
Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstan
Azerbaijan
Uzbekistan
Quebec
China (Xinjiang)

Yet neither Britain or America can muster the will to ban this archaic practice that subjugates women. # id) ?>
