55 detained Iranian fishermen freed in UAE, Iran embassy says

[IsraelTimes] Fifty-five Iranian fishermen have been freed from custody in the United Arab Emirates, Iran’s embassy there says on its Telegram channel.

The fishermen were detained by the UAE’s coast guard in recent months due to “special conditions” in the region, the embassy adds, in a likely reference to the Iran war. The process to send them home has started, the embassy says.
