So axing 300,000 useless employees, saved taxpayers about $29.2Billion for that year.

Which means the 153.8 Million individual US taxpayers might have saved $189.85 a year each in taxes.

The Federal Gov / US Congress needs to make some SERIOUS cuts, and learn to live inside the previously collected revenues of the prior year.

MINUS 10% to pay off the national debt and save for future disasters & wars.

Does that figure include benefits and office overhead, NN2N1? Off the top of my head, I’d guess that would add another 50% to the spend/savings.

Remember that DOGE, departmental, and Congressional searches for savings has continued quietly in the background all this time' so that the cuts are not just in personnel, but in projects, too. The Department of Education, for instance, will likely be shut down before President Trump leaves office at the rate they’re going, with a few select programs being moved over to Health & Human Services, where they were before President Jimmy Carter started getting bright ideas.

Among the 300,000 are the 75,000 who took President Trump’s early retirement package, which had them off the payroll as of September 2025. No doubt the rest of them now wish they had, too.
