JUST IN: Cleveland woman Bionca Ellis sentenced to life in prison without parole for murdering 3-year-old Julian Wood in a parking lot in 2024.

Julian and his mother were both stabbed in the June 3, 2024, attack. Julian sadly didn't survive.

… tried claiming that her schizophrenia was so bad that she didn't know her actions were wrong."That woman murdering my son replays in my head every single day," the boy's mother, Margot Wood, said.

"It is my living nightmare. The last thing I will ever hear from my son is his scream. And I can still see the tears in his eyes, and it haunts me every day. He was my baby boy."

"Our home isn’t as loud and chaotic anymore, not the way it used to be. There’s no one dressing up for Halloween as a dinosaur," Julian's father, Jared Wood, said.

While the defense mounted a final case for Ellis’s insanity plea, recalling the testimony of doctors speaking to her mental state years before, in the months after the attack.

“The state has made a concession that there is severe mental disease; they acknowledge that there’s schizophrenia, and you heard from Dr. Testa and Dr. West that even when they interviewed her a month later, her psychosis was still active.” # id) ?>

When Death Sentences take 20++ years, and we just gently put them to sleep.
Do we actually have a meaningful Death Sentence deterrent?

Bring back PUBLIC Hangings.

It's a great deterrent, letting the public see how evil dances at the end of a rope.
