In June 2020, District Attorney General Jody Pickens strongly opposed his release, warning the parole board that Drummond was “not capable of living among society.”

Pickens revealed that after Drummond’s conviction, he called his father and threatened jurors and the victim, allegedly saying, “They are going to regret it” and “I’ll be out one day.”

Although parole was denied in 2020, Drummond was later released and was out on bond for an attempted m*rder charge at the time of the k*llings

While in custody, Drummond had accumulated 25 disciplinary actions, including drug possession, defiance, refusing orders, and possessing a deadly weapon # id) ?>
