5 We pay unrealized gains taxes now. They are called property taxes.

If this hair-brained idea comes to fruition, you will see a massive stock market sell off. Probably an everything sell off if investors must sell to pay the taxes.

Remember: the federal income tax (thanks to Thomas Woodrow Wilson) was only supposed to be for "the rich". Uh-huh.
