The pagers were imported 5 or 6 months ago.
The pager battery contained 20+/-grams of PETN explosives.

Naturally, the Mossad is blamed for allegedly planting the Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate, (PETN) on the pager batteries, and calling specific pagers to detonate it by increasing the pager temp.

This could possibly mean certain Intel groups know certain terrorist names, ship to addresses & IMEI / #'s.

Which could suggest, the ability of 24/7 real time tracking of certain terrorists.

SIDE THOUGHT
Imagine, if Iran/Russia/China undertook a similar operation and the targets were certain elected US officials via their congressional or newly issued smartphones.

Lebanon later changed the numbers to 2750 injured and 9 killed. I suspect that the original report above is correct but in any case it was massive.
Numbers from Syria are not known yet. This is the biggest blow to hezbollah since it was founded

And imagine the paranoia of all communication devices, and subsequent breakdown of communication.

Mossad managed to somehow replace the beepers which came from Europe. There were some 20g of explosives and a kill switch. The Mossad sent a fake message that appeared to be from Command of Hezbollah, then a delay and a boom.

While it was incredible there is a huge waste of opportunity to take advantage and follow with an invasion. It would have saved lives of soldiers. Attack with the element of surprise and the chaos of this cyber attack. This is Bibi afraid of the Biden Administration. Now we are into waiting for the upcoming revenge.
Or maybe there is more to follow ?
PS. A new report says that Israel was afraid that the beepers will be exposed and therefore didn’t want to wait any longer.

Israel Update:

-Following the Beeper attack there is a report that Hezbollah was close to exposing the plot which caused a premature use of the beeper attack.

-As I reported before it turns out to be true. A senior IDF Commander hints that the hold up is because the US is very strongly against a menouver into Lebanon and we need back up when it happens, munitions, etc…

-Important: The IDF is moving Division 98 from Gaza to the North border with Lebanon.
Div 98 are the best that we have with the Commando Brigade as part of it with some of the most elite units of the IDF. They crushed the strongest Brigade of Hamas in Khan Yunis and were also in Rafah. This means that it’s getting serious at the North."
