6 I'd be happier to donate like I have in the past than deal with the ads. It's making the site unusable, especially on a cell phone. Can we get a telethon going so to speak to raise x amount of money to get rid of these highly irritating POSs? It really cheapens the site!

I think a jump in unsolicited donations would definitely be an argument that Google ads are not needed.
