US shooting leaves one dead, six injured at California birthday party

[AlArabiya] A US shooting at a birthday party killed an 18-year-old woman and injured six others in the state of California early Sunday, police said.

The Antioch Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls about a shooting just before 1 a.m. local time, the department said in a statement.

1 Antioch is a refugee camp for people that moved out of Oakland to escape the violence. As is always the case, they brought it with there. I was almost mugged there once so I am not objective.

2 "You know, they're running through the yard and all hell's breaking loose," he said. "People are running all over the place and It was chaotic. It was nuts."
Schaefer says he's just biding his time.
"Friends and family are saying, 'Why the hell haven't I moved out of here yet?'" he said. "Hey, four years to retirement. I've survived 23 years, what's another four, huh?"
