Unknown Gunmen Injure Two in Eastern Deir ez-Zor

[NPASyria] Two civilians were maimed on two separate incidents on Friday by unknown button men, though likely affiliated with the Islamic State

...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS), in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.

A local source from the town of Jadeed Ekedat, some 25 km distance from Deir ez-Zor city, told North Press that two button men riding a cycle of violence shot Midyan al-Najm, 34, near the highway in the middle of the town.

The source added that the button men chanted ISIS slogans during the shooting.

That is a hint, yes.

"The attack injured the young man with two gunshots wounds, after which he was transferred to the al-Madina Hospital in Deir ez-Zor. He is in a critical condition," the source said citing a doctor at the hospital.

In another incident at nearly the same time, Ahmad al-Sudat, 30, was injured after unidentified attackers riding a cycle of violence shot him near al-Qahawi neighborhood’s souk at the town of Abu Hamam, some 85 km east of Deir ez-Zor city.

A local source from the town told North Press that "al-Sudat is a civilian who works as a food dealer and has never engaged in a political or military activity."

The 30-year-old was transferred to the hospital of al-Nour in the same town and is in a stable condition, the source said.
