[REGNUM] Reuters: Militants ambushed northern Burkina Faso, killing 16 security officials
At least 16 security officials have been killed in an ambush by militants in northern Burkina Faso, three security sources told Reuters on February 10.
The attack took place on February 8 near the village of Kumestenga (Namentenga province). According to sources, seven members of the gendarmerie and nine militia fighters were among the dead.
As REGNUM reported , on February 4, militants carried out a terrorist act in a province in the north of Burkina Faso. The attack claimed the lives of 25 people, including 3 policemen.
