Video shows gangster's girlfriend pulled knife from bag and stabbed NYC bodega worker, 61, as he defended himself in dispute over $3: Fury as store worker is charged with murder for stabbing assailant while woman walks away scot free

Jose Alba stabbed Austin Simon to death on July 1 in a row over a bag of chips

Simon's girlfriend's card was declined as she tried to pay for the snacks

Alba, 61, refused to let her have the chips for free and she called Simon for back-up

Simon, who was on parole for attacking a cop at the time, charged into the bodega and went behind the counter

He confronted Alba, demanding an apology, then dragged him out

Alba then used the store's boxcutter to stab him in the neck and the chest

Simon's girlfriend produced her own knife and slashed Alba in the arm

She hasn't been charged but Alba was charged with 2nd degree murder

His bond was lowered last week following public outcry over the woke DA's decision to prosecute him

Jose Alba is from the Dominican Republic and became a US citizen 14 years ago
