At Least 35 Shot Friday into Sunday Morning Across Mayor Lori Lightfoot's Chicago

[Breitbart] At least 35 people were shot, five of them fatally, Friday into Sunday morning in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.

Breitbart News noted 14 were shot, one fatally, in Chicago during the same time-frame — Friday into Sunday morning — last weekend.

PLEASE NOTE:
When I had my Ill. State Patrol issued Carry Permit back in the 90's, Chicago did not accept the Ill. State Permit.

Given, Chicago is a Top 5 STRICT GUN CONTROL CITY. Thugs and police are usually the only ones armed.

Therefore most of this 35 number likely represent Illegally carried (THUG) firearms.

2 A lot of fatalities yes.

However, fatalities are running about 5% below last year's numbers.

Also, some past studies found that of the people killed by urban violence, over 70% were people previously convicted of felonies.

Yes. That is one reason cops aren't more aggressive in preventing gang wars which cause perhaps 50% of the fatalities. If you are a cop, why go all out to prevent thugs from killing eash other.

Of course there is collateral damage which sometimes indirectly leads to more gang opportunity.

A truly awful problem
