Woke L.A. teacher's union boss who didn't want to reopen schools

 [Daily Mail, where America gets its news] ...said teachers should only teach on Zoom for four hours a day says it doesn't matter kids don't know their times tables because they learned about BLM riots in 2020 instead
They're paid to teach, but that doesn't say what they're teaching. God help those poor Chinese kids who have to go through life not knowing about the BLM riots. They'll have to piss their educations away with math and physics and that sort of thing. Look for the union label, bub.
- Cecily Myart Cruz is the head of the United Teachers Los Angeles union
- She quit teaching in 2014 to work in the union and became president in February 2020, a month before schools shut down around America
- She has however fought Gavin Newsom on his plans to reopen them - which are among the slowest in the country - and claims they are racist
- In a profile with Los Angeles Magazine, she brushed off the educational harm the last year has done to kids
- 'There is no such thing as learning loss. Our kids didn’t lose anything. It’s OK that our babies may not have learned all their times tables. They learned resilience,' she said
- She previously said teachers shouldn't teach remote on Zoom for more than four hours because it was bad for kids to be on screens for so long
- She also said reopening schools was racist and would harm minority communities which have higher COVID case numbers
