Arizona GOP to perform 'full hand count' on 2.1 million Maricopa ballots in presidential election

[Just the news] "The audit will be broad and detailed," state Senate President Karen Fann says.

Republicans in the Arizona legislature will perform a full hand recount of the nearly 2.1 million votes cast in Maricopa County in the 2020 presidential election of, a state GOP leader announced this week.

Arizona Senate President Karen Fann said in a statement released by Arizona Senate Republicans that state GOP leaders have decided on a "preferred forensic audit" the final details of which are currently being worked out.

"The audit will be broad and detailed," Fann said. "[T]he team will include, but is not limited to, testing the machines, scanning the ballots, performing a full hand count and checking for any IT breaches.

8 Although I have little faith a recount in a number of the areas would be helpful (without full signature verification and other things hit have been muddle up by now) I'm not sure about Maricopa and hope the Arizona GOP has some insight that this isn't a waste of time.

10 According to the Epoch Times (behind the paywall) are a number of bills working through the Arizona reconciliation process — passed in the state House or the state Senate earlier in March— to require sensible things like:

require ID information and proof of address on mail-in ballots (Senate)

tighten up the deadlines for receiving absentee ballots and the postmark date on them (still in Senate committee)

prohibit Election Day voter registration (House)

make it a felony for election officials to change election related dates and deadlines (House)

ban private funding of elections — after the $400 million donated by Mr, Zuckerberg last year to Democratic areas (House)

ban the sending of unsolicited absentee ballot request forms (House)

Incidentally, Georgia’s House and Senate passed omnibus bills that include a number of these and other items earlier this month, and now need to be reconciled, as well as number of single item bills, which among other things would take supervision of elections away from the secretary of state.

It appears the state Republicans there are highly displeased with being made an international laughingstock by the Progressive Democrat-supporting cabal, as the Newsweek report described it.

11 We will be a laughingstock so long as absentee ballots decide our elections, period.

No advanced nation with more than a few million voters relies on such an obviously shaky and fraud-prone way of voting.

13 So in essence, the donks get a free pass for this election and we are told "it won't happen again". I'd much prefer to see some punishment for high crimes and misdemeanors.

14 I don't like it but I can't imagine they'd do anything to undo the election at this point. I'd like to see it, but just can't imagine it happening. SO the next best thing is to prevent it happening again and that starts with proving as much as possible and making sure it can't happen again.
