Police Command arrested two arms smugglers in the province.
The ministry said in a blurb on Tuesday that the smugglers had seized 53 pistols and 56 AK-47 Ammo Boxes.
The two smugglers were arrested in Momand Dara district of Nangarhar province, the report added.
According to the Interior Ministry, the weapons ware cleverly embedded in a vehicle for shopping, but was seized by the security forces before time.
The eastern province of Nangarhar is one of the bordered regions of the country with Pakistain, and it has always been the focus of illegal traffickers and smugglers.
