Islamic State claims responsibility for church attack in Congo

They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
grabbed credit on Friday for an attack on a church in eastern Congo that killed at least 18 people, the group's Amaq news agency reported, without evidence.
The attack happened Wednesday night in Baeti village in North Kivu province. A civil rights group reported a corpse count of at least 18 people and a church being burned down.

a Ugandan gang active in eastern Congo since the 1990s, has killed more than 1,000 civilians since the start of 2019, according to U.N. figures, despite repeated military campaigns to destroy it.
"Everything happened yesterday between 8 p.m. and midnight - the gunnies carried out a raid," local leader Kalunga Messo told Rooters by phone. "They killed our brothers without mercy."
Reprisal attacks against civilians have increased sharply since the army began an operation against the ADF a year ago, dislodging it from several bases near the Ugandan border.
The ADF is suspected of carrying out an attack on Wednesday in which 18 civilians were killed.
