... in Pashto Sara Kheta, they are also known as Red Unit, Blood Unit, Danger Group, or Taliban Special Forces Unit. The Taliban’s special forces/shock troops unit was first deployed in Sangin town in Helmand province in 2016, then claimed a victory against ISIS-Khurasan in 2018. They’ve been most active in Kunduz, Baghlan, and Faryab Provinces — perhaps they are expanding... including 5 Pak nationals were killed in an attack by Afghan National Defense Forces in Dobandi and Sherlal Khail areas of Shirzad district.
During the clash 6 other members of the red unit have been injured, a Toyota Dotson and a Corolla vehicle were also completely destroyed.
An Afghan soldier was killed in this operation and three others are maimed.
Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
