Three Katyusha rockets hit Baghdad’s Green Zone

[Rudaw] Several rockets landed inside Baghdad's Green Zone late Thursday, according to officials.

"Three Katyusha rockets fell shortly before in one of the empty squares inside the Green Zone in Baghdad, without significant losses, as it was found that they were launched from the al-Baiji area, west of the capital," the Iraqi Security Media Cell tweeted in the early hours of Friday.

US-led coalition spokesperson Col.Myles B Caggins III confirmed the attack, saying the attacks did not cause any Coalition casualties or damages to facilities.

The US has attributed past rocket attacks on sites of international importance in the Green Zone to Iran-backed militias, who it says are looking to further inflame US-Iran
