6 I think even the Russians got rid of the death penalty. But, yes, I think a life sentence is several months.

8 It's true that in Germany a "life sentence can mean parole after 15 years (ridiculous). The kind of murder described here would not qualify. And often "Sicherheitsverwahrung" may be decided.
