Turkish-backed police arrest gang responsible for kidnappings and extortion, setting a child free

[SYRIAHR] Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that the ~~Ottoman~~ Turkish-backed police arrested a gang of three persons, including a woman, responsible for kidnapping incidents in Afrin. The police also set free a child who was kidnapped earlier by the same gang in Mare’ city, in order to blackmail the child’s family and get ransom in return for releasing him.

On Thursday, SOHR sources said that unknown persons kidnapped a civilian from Salqin city in rural Idlib, demanding his parents pay a large ransom, after sending a video tape, a copy of which was obtained by SOHR, showing the kidnappers cutting off the kidnapped civilian’s finger and brutally torturing him.

On the other hand, a civilian from al-Ya’qubiya village in rural Idlib was kidnapped, while reasons and motives behind kidnapping him remained unknown. # id) ?>
