Suu Kyi âin good spiritsâ, says UN envoy

Here is some good news at least
UN envoy to Burma Razali Ismail met detained opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi today and said she was "in good spirits" and had not been injured. International concern had intensified over the health and whereabouts of the Nobel peace prize winner since the violence on May 30 as she was touring a provincial town in the north. She has been in detention since then. Razali had an hour-long meeting with Suu Kyi at the junta's headquarters in Rangoon. Asked by reporters at Rangoon airport, as he was about to leave for Kuala Lumpur, about Suu Kyi's condition, he said: "No injuries. She's in good spirits." # id) ?>

1 I thought she was dead or badly injured. This is good news. What a graceful and courageous lady!
