Yemeni Armed Forces advance in the Kahboub mountain range overlooking Bab al-Mandeb
[HodhodYemenNews] The Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
i Armed Forces
…to Hodhod Yemen News, the Yemeni Armed Forces is whqt they call the Houthis…
carried out a large-scale offensive operation in the Kahboub mountain range overlooking Bab al-Mandeb, during which they succeeded in taking control of several strategic positions previously held by four brigades of the so-called " al-Amaliqa Brigades," mobilized by the Saudi army under the leadership of Officer Badr al-Harbi, inflicting casualties and taking prisoners among their ranks, while seizing various military equipment.

A military source explained to Al Masirah that the operation was carried out along two axes. At the outset, the Armed Forces managed to surprise the enemy’s reinforcements, storm their trenches, and engage their elements from point-blank range, resulting in the death and capture of a number of elements stationed there.

The source pointed out that in the first phase of the operation, the Armed Forces seized control of several commanding heights overlooking the rest of the enemy positions, and were able to target their reinforcements and comb their positions from those heights, causing major panic and collapses in the ranks of the enemy forces.

The source confirmed that various military units participated in the offensive operation, which resulted in the clearing of several positions and the seizure of various military equipment, alongside the capture of a number of elements from the Saudi enemy’s reinforcements.

The source revealed that Saudi coalition warplanes launched several Arclight airstrike

s targeting its reinforcements as they withdrew from the engagement positions, leading to the death of large numbers of its elements by its own airstrikes.

The source highlighted the great strategic importance of the Kahboub mountain range, due to its rugged geographic nature and its elevated position overlooking the Bab al-Mandeb strait and vast areas of the coastal districts of Dhubab and al-Mudharibah, explaining that these heights leave the enemy forces’ positions deployed in those areas completely exposed.

At least 930 dead and wounded in latest escalation of Saudi aggression
[HodhodYemenNews] Yemen’s Ministry of Health and Environment
…the Houthis…
has announced that the number of civilians killed and wounded in Saudi attacks has reached 930 since the start of the latest escalation, through November 5, 2026.

In a statement issued on Friday, the ministry said the toll included 276 people killed and 654 wounded during the period.

The statement added that Saudi attacks had killed and wounded 23 civilians in the previous 24 hours, including nine fatalities, among them three children, and 14 wounded, including one child.

The figures come amid continued Saudi attacks across Yemen, raising concerns over their humanitarian impact, particularly the mounting civilian casualties and the additional strain on a health sector already struggling to provide medical and emergency care.

The ministry said the figures underscored the need for humanitarian and human rights action to document the casualties, highlight the impact of continued attacks on civilians, and hold Saudi leaders accountable for violations of international laws and conventions protecting civilian populations.

The latest figures come amid renewed Saudi military escalation against Yemen, with airstrikes, artillery shelling and missile attacks reported across several provinces. The attacks have reportedly targeted farms, water facilities, homes and other civilian infrastructure. # id) ?>
