SHIN BET: JENIN CELL CAUGHT BUILDING ROCKETS TO FIRE AT ISRAEL
Six Palestinians from the Jenin area have been arrested over an alleged plot to manufacture and launch rockets at Israel, according to the Shin Bet and Israel Police.
Investigators say the cell had already:
• Manufactured a rocket and explosive devices
• Conducted at least three rocket-launch tests
• Received bomb-making information through a messaging app from an outside source
Security forces also seized an assault rifle, an RPG and written instructions for manufacturing explosives, rockets and explosive devices.
Indictments against the six suspects are expected in the coming days.
The arrests come amid repeated attempts in recent years by Palestinian terror groups to develop crude rocket capabilities in the West Bank. Israeli forces separately uncovered a rocket during a September raid on a Hamas cell in the area.
