**Ukraine** has integrated **microdrones** into its military operations for reconnaissance, artillery correction, and recently, medical evacuation. The primary microdrone in use is the **Black Hornet Nano**, a **32-gram** pocket-sized UAV donated by the **UK** and **Norway** in August **2022**. Each set, including a control panel and charging station, costs between **$40,000 and $60,000**.

Recent developments in **October 2026** highlight a shift toward larger, heavy-lift hexacopters for casualty evacuation. The **Gurzuf Defence** **Ayudag-6** executed the world's first aerial medevac, carrying a wounded soldier to safety. Additionally, the **SkyFall** company is testing the **StarGate** drone, which can lift up to **150 kg** and has a range of **15 kilometers**, with an estimated production cost of at least **$50,000** per unit.
