5 The great challenge both for innovators and governments in the coming months is to balance continued progress in AI with smart regulation.

What can AI do that hackers' scripts haven't already been doing for years? Hmmmm? Software is software whether you call it AI or not.

And so I begin to suspect the real purpose behind all this AI hype and fear mongering is to gain government control of all software.

A guy like Gates would just love it if the government clamped down on all of his rivals using fear of AI as the excuse.
