Israeli patrol enters central Syria’s Quneitra countryside
|
[North Press] An Israeli army patrol comprising two tanks and 10 military vehicles entered on Saturday evening the central countryside of Quneitra and set up a checkpoint on the road linking Mashirfeh and Umm Batna villages, local sources told North Press.
The patrol arrived from the Adnaniyah base, the sources said.
The sources told North Press that Israeli forces thoroughly searched passersby and checked their identification documents, disrupting residents’ movement in the area.
Part of the Israeli force then headed to Mashirfeh village and conducted raids and searches in the village’s northern neighborhood, the sources added.
No information about arrests was available at the time of publication, according to the sources.
