QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Two people were injured on Thursday when a sticky bomb attached to a car exploded at a security checkpoint in the Jazrat al-Buhamid area of western Deir ez-Zor governorate, according to local authorities.

The Deir ez-Zor Media Directorate said in a statement that the Criminal Evidence Department of the Internal Security Directorate had launched an investigation and begun collecting evidence to identify those involved and pursue their arrest.
On Wednesday, a government source told North Press that seven people were killed and four others injured after gunmen opened fire on a vehicle carrying engineers and workers on the Masyaf Bridge near al-Houla in western Homs governorate.
