1 Our great friends in right-wing parties around the world struggle to understand why Israel handed a man like this the keys to its government at a time like this.

Because Israel been reasonable for 70 years, and been f*cked in the a$$ by "Our great friends".
Time, after time, after time, our enemies attack - IDF performs miracles that other militaries can't even dream off and defeats them. And then there's a peace process - presided over by our friends - and our enemies get rewarded as if they won. Because we're reasonable and value the friendship of our friends.
Well, Ben Gvir is NOT reasonable. He's like defenders of Masada, or rebels of Warsaw ghetto - only with nukes.

3 Gvir (and almost all the governing coalition) recently voted to end arrests of draft dodging Haredi draftees.

This has been a major issue in Israel for a decade or so.
