8 Talk about half truths and misconceptions all through this article.

They make it sound like there is one large pile that everyone draws from and that is running out. Actual military draw downs from supplies works differently. Each area has its own cache that it draws from so the Middle East has its own, Europe has its own, Pacific has its own, etc. All are filled with the stream of ammunition being made from various sources.

When you see military sources talk about dwindling stocks, they are talking about their own AOE and not the general supply. So yes, the ME cache is getting a bit thin and if war with China kicks off, that cache will be the priority draw and the ME will get shafted when it comes to resupply.

Worrisome? Yes. The entire US military running out of beans and bullets? No.

18 I think part of the problem is that the US is bringing up new weapons, both offensive and defensive and the suppliers don't have enough talent and equipment to handle both resupply of existing weapons as well as the new weapons.
