1 Britain did everything possible, including complicity by silence in Holocaust, to prevent the formation of the Jewish state. It failed. Certain, highly respected, current day, novelist/politicians should learn the lesson.

3 Utter and total nonsense. President Roosevelt despised Jews in common with the upper classes of America, Britain and Europe. Had he been influenced by them,America would not have almost completely closed its doors to Jewish immigration during that crucial period.

Roosevelt had it in his power to drastically reduce the scale of the Holocaust but he refused. A lot of people don't want to hear that about him but it's the truth. He had to know how bad things were getting in 1930s Germany but he let it happen anyway.
