9 I read somewhee that the family opposed any attempt by the defense lawyers to negotiate a plea bargan with the DA. The Go-Fund-Me cash-flow was far too important to risk a settlement. It will be interesting to see what color bandanna he starts wearing in the GenPop, blue or red? Just remember to avoid ever sitting on the steps where the old white guys sit dummy.

Apparently it worked. He'll likely be out in 17 years.

BTW, since he was under 18 at the time of the murder, Texas law forbid the death penalty in this case.

11 Comments from various places state the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles almost never let people out on their first board hearing. Anthony would have to be the perfect prisoner and I don't see that happening.
