1 Gosh, that sounds expensive! But the real question is what are we purchasing with that money? Peace and security ain't free.

Asked another way, what would be the cleanup costs for any or all of the following?
1) A nuke-tipped ballistic missile attack on Tehran
2) A nuclear dirty bomb explosion in a major US city
3) an EMP air-burst over the Eastern Seaboard

3 Money well-spent. The Fed just magics more out of thin air anyway. The border wall would have been $25 billion but this is for our ally and strengthens the world, letting them know how far we'll go to fight along side Taiwan, Ukraine, Qatar,Germany and all the rest we are bound by treaty to defend.

5 BTW: I forgot mention.

BIDEN Admin allocated approximately $188 billion in aid to Ukraine since the start of their war back in February 2022.

I still wonder much of that actually was used vs made its way back to DC/Elite Pockets.

6 Congress's 'estimate'? I'd like to see a third. non-partisan estimate.

Could maybe even take the Ticonderoga class cruiser being retired, upgrade the Aegis to current standards, fill them up with ABM's and park them at various points in the country to provide a missle shield for the time being while we either build Aegis ashore systems or a purpose built 'barge'with the Aegis radar and ABM's that can be towed if needed.

A common misconception. Possibly better for the Iranian people, possibly not given the quality of the starting materials.

The US concerns are nukes and the Strait. As long as what happens in Iran stays in Iran, it's nobody's business. It is when things leak over the border or drift out into international waterways, then it becomes the world's concern.

Maybe that is a fallacy. Watching Australia get invaded. Watching the UK get invaded. Watching France. Canada. Seeing all the demographic changes in all the countries all over the world. 36% to 8%.

To me, what started with the great wars continued on in Iran. That word Iran is defined in the article, Land of the Aryans. Is that a coincidence? I dont think so. I think it is a trophy. Like Paris. Like London. Like Minnesota.

We would be best to destroy all strongholds of the globalist commies and their islamic allies.

12 Just an observation. Other than ordnance expended, I think there is not a greatly increased cost of this 'war' to normal daily costs. Discounting the casualties (which I as a DD-214 holder know can never truly be discounted), the fixed costs of the 'equipment' 'wages' and normal housing, meal,fuel and normal operational expenses are never considered as an offset to the total expenses of this 'war'. How much have we truly expended over and above normal operational costs? Anyone have a clue?

I can understand the sentiment. We are talking about some evil sons of bitches who deserve getting whacked. They have certainly earned it. Regime change is a happy thought but it leads to questions:

- How much are you willing to pay in lives and treasure?

- Who or what is going to replace the current top dogs?

- How committed are you to maintaining their position vs the other factions?

Getting the nuke issue sorted will leave whoever is running Iran either compliant or intimidated. We can work to engineer a better outcome, but a ground invasion simply is not worth it. The Iranians will need to figure out how to run Iran.
