Think about this.
A person goes to a State certified college, takes years to obtain a teaching degree.

The person racks up $60K to $225+K in Educational loans.

The starting position might pay $60K to $75K a year until tenure. A basic salary that allows for only a basic lower mid-class standard of living in today's economy.

Now add-in the new over-exposed hormonal smartphone generation and its constant seeking to explore and try things.

The NEA types will be there.

What do you think they pulled in the 50s and 60s? Their salaries weren't relatively much different. However, we had a better caliber of teacher back then because teaching was still a major occupation for females. When the 60s hit, the smarter ones were able to get into other careers and we lost a core that maintained a degree of competency and professionalism. Add to that throwing out student discipline, its all been downward since then.

7 90% of teachers are lefties. Lefties want sexual behavior that is taboo normalized.

Put conservatives or libertarians in there that just want to teach facts and this shit will drop to a blip (it will always happen sadly).

But that would destroy the power of the teacher's union so it won't happen unless schools are made private and teacher unions banned.

10 Imho, it happens more because:

1. Teacher unions protect their members.

2. The word has gone out. That you'll be protected, even if you get caught. Therefore!!!, Become a teacher!!!!

3. Also, schools and school systems -- especially since BHO presidency -- have become more chaotic in recent years. Why? They are being forced to pretend to be All Things To All People All The Time. Imho, the chaos, the mayhem, the inability to expel any malcohtent students and any miscreant students ... it's created a breakdown of any kind of real Learning Ethos. Chaos begets more chaos.

Imho, enrolling your child in schools these days is like walking your child through a minefield. It's nuts.
