2 "A winter storm watch has been issued for the Sierra Nevada starting 5 p.m. Monday through 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Reno is predicting a snow level of 7,000 feet with 6-12 inches possible and up to 2 feet along the Sierra Crest.

Down along the shores of Lake Tahoe, 1-3 inches of snow is possible over the first half of the week."
