3 The Saudis have been trying since 2015 or thereabout, SuperHose. They haven’t been able to conquer despite all the fancy American weapons they bought.

6 The Saudi effort to destroy the Houthis began about a decade ago. This effort involved using mostly mercenary soldiers and untrained locals under the command of Saudi and Bahrain officers. It didn't go well. By 2023 this effort basically ceased. They have recently put another army in place and are skirmishing with the Houthis.
