#1 Actually in the Russian Civil War between the Reds and the Whites (1918-1922) the Reds were without allies and defeated the combined attacks of the Japanese, British, American, Czech and French military. And at the same time dealt with incursions by the Turks, Germans and Austro-Hungary. FWIW - I'd say that was the "first" time Russia was fighting the entire West alone . . .

#2 Well Sergey, I guess that 'being alone' doesn't include the assistance from China and Iran.

And when you actually need ammunition, armaments and soldiers (or anything) from North Korea, it's really bad.

#5 Lavrov has been foreign minister since 2004. He was at the incident where Hillary pressed the button перегрузка (meaning overcharge) when she meant to push a button called reset (which would have been перезагрузка). Russia occupied Crimea and other parts of Ukraine a few years later in 2014.
