#1 The last time I got involved in a conversation about NASA cuts here at Rantburg (around 20 years ago) a frequent commenter went completely nuts and impugned me, my family and my ancestors.

I wonder if he is one of those departing.

#5 I don't think NASA needs to be cut back. I think it needs to be completely shut down. I think the people who worked there need their last twenty years of paychecks clawed back if possible.

The worst thing they've done is give people the impression that space was really being explored for the last fifty years with their pathetic little space scuttle.
