#3 returning the Forest Service to it's original (Gifford Pinchot) purpose, e.g., scientific management of forests for profitable and sustainable harvesting as opposed to the environmental maximalists who require preservation and minimal harvesting.

That's not how it work.

Plants take the excess carbon it product and convert it into sugar/starch or use ut as builing matericl to help it grow.
