#1 This is how complicated things can get in the Sudan: The Arab Islamist Military Government attacks the Rizayqat center. The Rizayqat are a very large Darfur and Bahr al-Ghazal Arab cattle nomad tribe that for decades was allied with the central government in Khartoum. For years it was used by the Islamists to attack the African South Sudanese. That the central government and Rizayqat are now seemingly at swords point demands explanation. That the Rizayqat have apparently joined forces with the Muslim African tribals of Darfur also demands explanation -- which will not be forthcoming from the useless Sudan Tribune.
