#3 I remember many years ago, Brits shaking their heads at the idea of a Channel Tunnel. Appears their fears were well grounded.

#4 Easily remedied by flooding the tunnel, but rather costly and difficult to undo.

I suppose the Brits could mow 'em down at their end if the Frogs don't have the ... courage.
