#1 The story about the Central Park ice rink and Trump is very telling about Donk city graft and bureaucracy. Too bad they chased Elon out of town. He'd probably get it done at a fraction of the cost and with actual code and gear that should be good for a few decades.

They can replace the MSDOS floppies but they're going to be pinched to find DEI people who know MSDOS.

#2 this is not for the BART system

it is for the streetcars, trolleys and buses in SF

before the computer era, there was no computer costs, the vehicle completed a route, turned around and started a new route; new drivers met the 'getting off work' drivers at a standard point at a pre arranged time

it worked pretty well but there were occasional 5 and 10 and 15 delays sometimes
