Bears!
Police shot and killed an aggressive bear at a dacha in Krasnoyarsk.
[Regnum] Police shot and killed an aggressive bear at a dacha in Krasnoyarsk. The regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this on October 2.

A local resident reported an adult bear to law enforcement. She said the animal was wandering around the property in the Royev Ruchey gardening community and was breaking an apple tree. Police and National Guard officers later arrived at the scene.

"Arriving officers discovered a bear behaving aggressively and moving toward the officers. Due to the real threat to the lives and health of the officers... the decision was made to use force. The bear was neutralized," the department said in a statement.

There were no casualties.

On August 31, a bear attacked two hunters in Kamchatka Krai. The incident occurred near the village of Khatyrka on the Kamchatka-Chukotka border. An air ambulance evacuated the victims from the Anastasia Bay area and transported them to a local hospital.

Previously, biologist and zoologist Alexander Lipkovich warned in an interview with Regnum News Agency that the current generation of bears is more aggressive than previous ones. Due to population growth, the bear, a naturally solitary species, encounters its fellow bears more frequently. This keeps the predator constantly on edge—angry and nervous.

Songs protected tourists from a bear in a national park in the Southern Urals.
Tourists spent an hour and a half fighting off a bear with songs and shouts in a national park in the Southern Urals. This was reported on October 2 by the REN TV Telegram channel.

The incident occurred while six people were descending Mount Uvan in Zyuratkul National Park in the Chelyabinsk region. The animal was approximately 150 meters away from the group, prompting the group to climb a cliff of large rocks and begin singing loudly to keep the animal from getting any closer.

Meanwhile, the citizens contacted the rescue service, who relayed the information to national park staff. Three Zyuratkul rangers were dispatched to assist. That night, the specialists persuaded the tourists to descend, after which they were all safely escorted to the "At Three Peaks" cordon, REN TV reported

A school in a village in the Irkutsk region has switched to distance learning due to a bear.
Schoolchildren in the village of Radishchev in the Irkutsk Region have been transferred to distance learning after a bear appeared on the school grounds. This was reported on October 2 by the Nizhneilimsky Municipal District administration.

"A bear was seen on the school grounds. Children at Radishchevskaya Secondary School have been switched to distance learning," an administration representative told RIA Novosti.

He noted that hunters are currently searching for the predator. While the danger remains, children will continue to study remotely.

This isn't the first time a bear has visited a school in the Irkutsk region. On September 30, a bear attempted to break into the school cafeteria in the village of Zalog. Judging by the destruction left behind, it appeared to have attempted to enter the building through a window.

On October 1, regional governor Igor Kobzev reported that 342 aggressive bears had been killed in the Irkutsk region. According to the governor, 142 groups of game managers, rangers, and experienced hunters have been formed in the region. Every day, 12-15 bears are killed in the region, which is almost five times more than last year.
