No, sharks are not kosher. According to Jewish dietary laws, a fish must have both fins and scales to be considered kosher. While sharks have fins, their scales are not considered kosher because they are actually tiny, tooth-like structures called dermal denticles, which cannot be removed without damaging the skin. This type of scale does not meet the halachic requirement for a kosher fish.
Therefore, despite being fish, sharks are prohibited under kosher law

4 Anything is permitted in the saving of a life. If you are starving, eating shark is fine.

On the other hand, for anything not ingested, like having frikkin’ lasers on their heads, sharks are absolutely acceptable.

Inconceivable, No More BS! Frikkin lasers is from a silly movie, as swksvolFF says. I saw it with Mr. Wife when it came out. I did learn about camel toe from you lot — you can be proud of that, I suppose… ;-)
