3 People are more enthusiastic when McDonalds brings back the McRib for the 40th year in a row. Nobody was watching Kimmel before he was taken off. The Libs will support him for a week and then lose interest. Sinclair can improve performance in the demo by broadcasting a nostalgic test pattern.

6 Kimmel was only drawing 129,000 viewers before the shooting, far less than his already-weak competitors. It is remarkable that he stayed on the air long enough to make his rude comments about Kirk. It will be interesting to see if his return outdraws the news programming Sinclair is pre-empting him with in their markets.
