5 Full disclosure first: I work at Flock and build the product, so weigh this accordingly.

But before we pile on over this one, look at what the reporting shows. The 911 caller described a maroon Durango with a partial plate "458," and the paint transfer on the other car was maroon. Isaacs' Durango is black, had no damage, and her plate didn't match. According to her attorney, FHP troopers fixated on the first black Durango they found, which he called "confirmation bias, to the highest degree," and he still called Flock "a good tool." The woman later charged, who has pleaded not guilty, drove a maroon Durango with a plate starting 458. Isaacs isn't suing Flock. Her federal suit names the two troopers. A camera hit is a lead, not probable cause, and the fix is a policy one: no arrest without corroboration. Misuse is a legitimate concern elsewhere (the Lufkin, TX officer indicted for alleged database abuse, for one), and that's a fair debate. This case just isn't evidence of the tool failing. Happy to answer questions on how it works.
