1 AIDS is barely discussed anymore,

Because the sector of the population that was transmitting it largely killed itself off. Another hoax 'AIDs pandemic among straights' never developed. Another scaremongering for funding.

2 Not sure that HIV killed off a demographic. Alternative lifestyle folks are 50% or higher at about 10 colleges.

4 Nine: High school graduation rates are at or near record highs.

Permit me to retort. While I agree that things are generally good compared to any time in the last 100,000 years, the graduation rate is misleading. Yes, more kids are graduating, but notice that reading and math scores have fallen dramatically. Seems a bit contradictory, eh?

tl;dr: someone is cooking the books. Probably in the name of equity.
