#4 As short range as the F-35 is they should build more AIP/diesel submarines and keep the aircraft carrier launched F-35s out of range.... Oh, they are doing that already.

There's nothing like the simplicity of the Sopwith Camel. Cheap to build, cheap to fly. Jet-engined metal frame monoplanes and missiles are for the birds.
