1 We used to play that game when I was a kid. We'd hide in the bushes and watch while the homeowner opened the door. It doesn't take much to amuse an 11-year-old boy but I guess it wouldn't have been so amusing if they shot at us.

2 A variation of this game that we never played is to fill a paper bag with dog poop, set it on the porch and light it on fire after knocking on the door or ringing the doorbell.

the kid was stupid, but the homeowner was even more stupid. Ringing the door bell is nothing. If they kick the door that's different.
